About

pic about

Don Eddy founded the camps after a successful career in collegiate coaching. Our basketball camps are a camp ministry and business, which sets us apart from our contemporaries. We set our camps within the framework of Christian principles and expectations while we focus on the skill development of each individual camper. We use a Master Teaching System with instructors and demonstrators in each gym. Our preset curriculum is organized to bring continuity to learning the complex skills of the offensive game of basketball and to help each camper learn to coach themselves.

On November 5, 2017, Don R. Eddy died peacefully with his family and pet dog, Muffin by his side. His life's goal was reached and he was seeing Jesus face to face. Born in Kenova, West Virginia on December 16, 1935, Coach Eddy spent his life serving others and leading them to know Jesus. His passion for basketball allowed him to influence thousands of young people. After ending his collegiate coaching career at UTSA, he started a sport ministry camp throughout Texas and in twelve other states. Under Coach Eddy's directorship hundreds of students committed their lives to Christ each summer. As our "camp" family grieves, we take comfort in knowing that the ultimate Hustle Award Winner, has received his just reward and that his life's work was not in vain.

Services for Coach Eddy will be held as follows:

Visitation on Thursday, November 9 from 6-8 pm at Mission Park North  3401 Cherry Ridge Dr. San Antonio TX 78230
Funeral on Friday, November 10 at 10:30 am at Park Hills Baptist Church  17747 San Pedro  San Antonio TX 78232

Our Mission

Our Mission is to have every student know that this has been a significant week in their life and that it has made a difference in them as a basketball player and as a person. We desire for each camper to have the opportunity to gain the tools that they need to give them a better chance to reach or even exceed their basketball goals while at the same time getting a clearer picture of the life that God has called them to live. Every camper will leave knowing that their life will make a difference!
